  • Batik Textiles – 4433 – Light Turquoise Blue Indigo Watercolor – Blender Basics

    10.5 in stock

NOTE: 3/25/24: I opened a new bolt of this fabric today and it has small black specks throughout the entire bolt. This appears to be made into the fabric and is not removable, but can cut around. The specks are small and don’t show up in the first two photos. Please ask any questions before purchasing – I’m happy to help.

The actual fabric appears closest to the first two photos and has more turquoise green than previous bolts of this same fabric. It’s not as blue/purple as the third photo shows. The fabric still has soft purple, turquoise blue and turquoise green throughout with highlights that are close to white swirled into the colors.

PLEASE READ (Updated 01/23/23): The last four photos are ones that I took and the first is the manufacturers thumbnail image. The second photo is the view looking at the fabric as wrapped on the bolt and not WOF. There are variations in the batik colors because they are hand dyed. I have matched the colors as closely as possible to my computer screen, but they may vary slightly from what you see on your screen. If you’re unsure about the true color, please contact me directly. I’m happy to help.

***The latest bolt of this fabric has an overall aqua-green-yellow undertone to it and less orange than previous bolts. The fourth photo compares different dye lots of the Egg White fabric. The current bolt is featured on the left in the fourth photo with previous dye lots in the middle and on the right side. The fifth photo is the current bolt of Egg White compared to a solid white batik so you can see the color in the background easier.

Original Description: Egg White has a yellowish-greenish white background with dots containing hints of very light turquoises, greens, yellows, oranges and then a random mix of the similar color shades in smaller portions for the dots. Although the background is mostly white, the coloration of the dots give the fabric a cool green tone. Great mixer or background fabric for a cool colored quilt.

  • Island Batik – IB Almond – Foundations Neutrals

    25.25 in stock

This fabric has a white background that contains a tinge of purple/pink in the white. It’s not a true white. The dots contain hints of very light warm & cold pinks and purples (mauve), grays and sometimes an indigo color. Mixed altogether, the dot colors appear like a mottled mauve-purple color overall. It has a warm feel to it, not cold.

*Third photo: Most of the time Almond has a lighter background as shown on the left. The right contains a different dye lot that makes the background appear slightly more purple tinged and less white. Hoffman 1377-3 PFD (creamy/warm)solid white is at the top.
