The actual fabric looks closest to the first two photos and is no as dark as the third photo. This Tin fabric is a medium gray color with both medium-light and medium dark highlights and shading. There is a rosy pink-brown color that works its way through the fabric that gives it a touch of warmth. This fabrics a very slight greenish-blue undertone to it, but is otherwise very close to what I would consider a true medium gray color.

There are variations in the batik colors because they are hand dyed. I have matched the colors as closely as possible to m computer screen, but they may vary slightly from what you see on your screen. If you’re unsure about the true color, please contact me directly. This fabric looks closest to the first two photos and is not quite as dark as the third photo. This medium dark gray fabric is cold toned and has a slight greenish-blue undertone to it.

UPDATED: The newest bolt of this fabric is much lighter, cleaner and less muddy than photos 3-4. The previous bolt had a green undertone (photos 3-4) and is no longer available. The first two photos are what you will be receiving. The fabric is light with medium gray areas that have a silvery (gray-blue) as well as a warmer (ivory) undertone in them. This fabric reminds me of the color of fog. Photo 5 is a group photo of the Bodacious Black collection.

UPDATED: The current bolt of this fabric is pictured in photos 1-2. It is a little bit darker than the previous bolt (3-4) and does not contain the warm ivory color. It’s more of a solid-tonal color with a slight underlying warmth of yellow-green color. The previous bolts (photos 3-6) are no longer available. The first two photos are what you will be receiving. Photo 5 is a group photo of the Bodacious Black collection.

This fabric is a medium-dark color with a very slightly warm green undertone that is close to a middle-true gray. There’s not a lot of color variation in the fabric so it appears even and saturated. It almost looks like a light washed-out black but there are no highlights (as sometimes there is with a black watercolor).

***This fabric is a Prepared For Dying (PFD) plain, solid, bleached white fabric with no watercolor design. The current IB White is a warm white (third photo, right) and is not the cold white like previous IB Whites (third photo, left). The current fabric will be very much like the other PFDs from the other manufacturers. The warm white is also softer and slightly thinner than Island Batik’s previous cold white.

This white is a previous cold white (third photo, left) and is not the (current) warm white (third photo, right). The This white is different from all the other batik whites that I have in that it is a cold and slightly gray-ish color.
