How we can all serve others through the opening of a community quilt shop.

Dear friends,

My name is April and I am working hard to open a brick and mortar quilt shop in my little rural town of Gales Creek, OR. I am open for visits by appointment only (Schedule a Visit), but have already started selling online. I also hand-guided and computerized longarm services on a Bernina-Q24 w/ Qmatic. Please click the menu links at the top of the page for more information.

I recently attended my first Quilt Market in Houston, TX and fell in love with the new batiks coming out. My shop will mainly feature batiks but I will occasionally have prints for sale as well. My shop is about 700 square feet but in time I hope to grow that to a larger space. Classes will be available after I can get up and running and learn the ins and outs of managing a business.

The quilt shop is in a unique location because it overlooks Gales Creek, literally. When opened, we will be located just off Hwy 6 with a short 1/4 mile scenic drive along the creek to the quilt shop. I also hope to have an intimate retreat space available for rent for groups of four or smaller.

I am opening shop because I love to serve others through my hands and donate everything I make to a local charity. I can only do this through the grace of God. I try to keep my prices low so that everyone can afford to create something beautiful. I’m in this to serve because it’s what I love to do and not to make a quick buck. Please contact me through my Etsy Store, or the Contact Us page, or stop by the shop soon. I will announce the opening of the shop on my website when the time gets near.

Take care,
April
