This fabric is an “off-white” color and is not as bright as a solid plain white PFD (prepared for dying) batik fabric. It’s slightly darker and is more of a light ivory/linen color. The colored winkles shown in the manufacturers image are a shadow. This fabric is a solid off-white with no watercolor design on it.
The second photo compares Anthology’s 1547 Snow White to 1046 White. The difference is minimal but the Snow White (left) is a little bit darker.

The actual fabric looks like the first two photos and is not as saturated as the last photo shows. The fabric is light and soft, like clouds. The background is not a true white but a soft white with many area of a dusty indigo denim and soft gray color as well as a light spearmint color. There are some darker areas that are mostly a denim blue color but also a few white highlights. The dots are an interesting mix of a spearmint blue, indigo denim gray. Some areas of this fabric have a very light purple undertone. The spearmint color is also very light and does not come through in the first two photos as much as it does in person.

This fabric is very close to Island Batik “Almond” but it just slightly lighter and more neutral (IB Almond has a light purple undertone).
***This fabric is nearly identical to Hoffman Mist except this one (Ivory) has a slightly warm purple undertone where Mist has a cold gray undertone. It is also very close to Island Batik Almond but Hoffman Ivory is more neutral/lighter and Almond has a little bit more purple color in it.

This fabric has a plain white background with light gray dots on top that have a very light gray-green undertone. It’s not as green as the third photo shows. It’s mainly a light gray. The slight shaded area at the bottom of the second photo is only a shadow and is not in the fabric.
***This fabric is nearly identical to Hoffman Ivory except this one (Mist) has a slightly cold gray undertone where Ivory has a warm purple undertone.

***PLEASE READ: The latest version/bolt of this fabric is featured in the first two photos. Photos 3 and 4 are previous bolts of this fabric and it was much lighter. The current bolt of this fabric is darker with a light dry sand/tan color that contains a very slight yellow undertone. It’s not white. The lighter version of this color is Hoffman 1895-265 Oyster (has more white and less tan in it).

The current bolt of fabric looks closest to the first photo with different natural/beige colorations and a hint of gray and is not as dark as the last two photos show. The fabric has a vintage ivory white appearance to it with light colored ivory mini dots and a few darker background areas of light pewter gray.
**NOTE: Some dye lots have a bit more/less cream in them. If the shade in the dye lot makes a difference for your project, please contact me to see what I have in stock. I go through a lot of this fabric and so the dye lots are always changing.

This is a reference to show the variations in the batik colors. The actual fabric looks like the first two photos and is not as nearly dark or saturated as the third photo. The manufacturers photo also shows the color orange. However, I see this orange colors as brown rather than an actual orange.
This fabric has a warm undertone and is mostly made up of the purple color, then brown and the least of the lime green. This fabric is very similar to Majestic Batiks Spring Garden 650, but it has green rather than yellow in it.Price is per 1 yd quantity.

This light and lovely Whip Cream fabric is a staple for cold-toned quilts. There are no solid white areas in the background. The background is a light off-white, gray, turquoise blue and a smidge of turquoise green color. The wavy topography-like lines on top are in a light gray color with some of the gray very light in areas or even appearing with a slight tint of tan in the a few spots inside the lines. This light and lovely Whip Cream fabric is a staple for cold-toned quilts. There are no solid white areas in the background. The background is a light off-white, gray, turquoise blue and a smidge of turquoise green color. The current IB White is a warm white (third photo, right) and is not the cold white like previous IB Whites (third photo, left). The current fabric will be very much like the other PFDs from the other manufacturers. The warm white is also softer and slightly thinner than Island Batik’s previous cold white.
