In person this fabric looks close to the photo with a very dark midnight blue background (close to black, but not quite) and mini dots in an off-white, light red washed-out cherry color and small hints of a light midnight blue color. Sometimes the dark blue background looks as though it has a tint of indigo (purple) color in it – depends on what you compare it to. It is not close to a true blue and leans towards purple.

***This fabric appears as a very dark indigo navy blue color more than it does an Eggplant Purple color (in the title name). It has hints of dark mauve and eggplant purple mixed into it, but overall it appears mostly blue.
