This fabric is overall dark with areas of a very dark gray (black), deep teal, turquoise background highlights, and hints of copper orange with mottled browns. Again, most of this fabric is on the darker side with a lot of deep teals and blacks in it – a bit darker than it appears on my screen. The design on top is in teal and contains seaweed, coral reef, fish, seahorses, bubbles, sea shells and angel fish.

UPDATE: The current bolt of fabric appears closest to the first two photos and is light with gray-green with hints of tan-cream watercolor. They white baclground has very very light gray-green undertone. They parts of this fabric that appear white in the background are really more of a light gray-green color. The fifth photo is a comparison of two different previous Seamist dye lots with the oldest fabric on the left and the next newest fabric on the right. The current dye lot (photos 1 & 2) is not as washed-out as previous dye lot (photos 3 & 4). There are some strong areas of darker gray-green throughout the fabric as well as hints of yellow-tan.

It’s a fluffy/whipped color that contains a little more defined areas of green in it than can be seen in the first two photos. This is IB’s lighter version of Chameleon.

This fabric is not as dark or as green as the last (manufacturers) photo shows. The tint of this fabric has strong color in it but it is not florescent or really bright as it may appear on some screens. This fabric has a bright medium-light minty-peridot turquoise-green color mixed with a light teal blue color. The green covers about 75% of the fabric while the turquoise blue covers about 25%. This is a light version of IB’s Parakeet fabric.

NOTE: The current dye lot of this fabric is not as saturated as the photo shows and it has more highlights (lighter turquoise blue) areas that create a little more contrast than the previous dye lot did that was more solidly colored.
