The actual fabric appears closest to the first two photos and is not as royal-indigo as the last photo shows. This fabric has a very slight teal-green cast to it and does not contain purple undertones. It has black it but the over tone is still dark dusty blue although the blue color is not strong.

The first photo is the manufacturers thumbnail image and the last two photos are ones that I took of the entire Hoffman 851 Ombre collection. The group photos are taken twice: First with the darker sides showing and second with the lighter sides showing.
This fabric is featured on the far right and appears more black/gray toned than a dark blue (what Skipper normally is). It does have a slight dark and dull blue undertone, but will read more black than dark blue. It’s not as teal green as the first photo shows and appears closest in color to the last two photos.

This fabric is slightly lighter in color shade in person than it shows on my screen. It also has little white areas that are made into the fabric (this is not a defect). It makes the fabric look like mountains in the background where the darkest areas are with highlights of white snow peaks. These small whites areas are a part of the fabric design.

The bear/tree design on top does not appear to have the copper highlights in them but it does have some around the outside of the designs. The design is also a very dark navy blue color and is not black like it can appear on the computer screen.

The latest dye lot of this fabric is closest to the first two photos with the background being a tinge more blue than what shows online. Photos 3-4 show the previous dye lot, which was more blue. The blue fabric is no longer available; only the teal green that’s shown in the first two photos is available.

This fabric is lighter and more muted in person than what the third photo (manufacturer’s) shows. It is still a dark navy-denim blue color with dark and medium areas of this muted blue. There are smaller areas of a more saturated and slightly indigo color mixed in with the muted blue. The fabric has two different blues and a very dark (or black) color in the dye. Skipper is very similar to Tahiti (1895-254) in shade/tone except it’s slightly more on the deep turquoise/teal side and less on the royal blue side. This fabric is also very close to Hoffman Moonstruck but is a little lighter and has lighter blue highlights in the watercolor.
