The actual fabric appears closest to the first two photos although parts of it may look more muted like the third photo shows. The rust orange isn’t always punchy and is sometimes dark, depending on the cut of fabric. There are rust brown areas where the orange color melds with the blue and aqua.

This fabric is closest to the first two photos and is not as dark or as blue as the third photo shows. This is a beautiful and interesting color combo of indigo blue, indigo gray, indigo purple, purple-mauve and fragments of denim blue. It reminds me of looking at far away stars in outer space.

This fabric is closest to the first two photos and is not as dark or as purple as the third photo shows. This color seems to be right in between red and purple as it leans both ways. It’s pretty and rich burgundy color that is very close to IB Burgundy although the Batik Textiles 7238 fabric is one shade redder.
**The last photo is one that I took comparing similar burgundy colors to one another.

This fabric is mostly blue and turquoise green. It’s only about 15% red. It also has a light creamy yellow color, small areas that appear indigo blue and slight hints of green in it. The actual fabric does look close to the first two photos and is not as red, pretty or as bright as the third photo shows. There are large areas of color in this design and you may not see much red in 1/2-yard cut and you may see much more, depending on the cut of fabric from the bolt. The fabric design appears mottled and mushed in person and it does not have very sharp edged to the darker colors in it. Overall, the fabric gives an “Old Glory” dusty denim turquoise blue color.
NOTE: This fabric feels starchy and is not as soft as I would expect a typical batik to be. Prewashing should be considered to soften it.

This fabric is a lovely crimson red tonal color that is close to a true red color. It is not a magenta pink as the third photo (manufacturers image) shows. The red color is not bright, but it is strong.

UPDATE 03/18/23: The current fabric dye lot looks like the first two photos and is not green or bright as the last photo. The new dye lot has more beige/tan, less green, a bit more yellow undertone and the turquoise edges on the watercolor areas stand out more than the previous dye lot (photos 4 and 5). The third photo has the previous dye lot on the left and the current dye lot on the right. This fabric has a mix of warm light colors in it that are mostly mellow and non-contrasting through most of the fabric. However there are some areas with stronger yellow-green and brighter turquoise blues in it.

The actual fabric looks closest to the first two photos but is very similar to all three. It’s not quite a “pink” looking in person as it appears on my screen – you could say it’s in between the two different colors. But this latest bolt of this fabric has a very light pink/yellow undertone to it. It does have a mix of other neutral colors including ivory, beige, gray, purple, dusty pink, off white, and a slight khaki color in a few of the dots that are darker. It’s still a very light neutral blender that works well for a background.
***The latest bolt of fabric has a coloration like the first two photos but is slightly lighter than the first two photos. It’s not quite as light as the third photo. The fabric still has light hues of pink, beige, tan and cream in it.
