The blue background has a dark purple undertone with navy-indigo shadows that appear almost black and highlights in turquoise-blue, turquoise-green and warm purple. The lighter turquoise and the turquoise-green colors are better seen in person and appear muted or a little bit washed out in the photos.

It’s a very dark rich sky blue that’s not as dark as Waikiki or Cobalt but closer to a happy water/ocean/brook color of blue. It does not have a purple or a green undertone.

The actual fabric is a deep indigo-purple color that has a little less blue in it than what the first photo shows. It has a stronger color saturation in person than what shows on my screen and appears more purple than blue. It’s not as blue as either of the photos shows – it’s more purple.

It makes the fabric look like mountains in the background where the darkest areas are with highlights of white snow peaks. These small whites areas are a part of the fabric design.
