It’s a very rich medium-dark purple that doesn’t appear to be either cold or warm. Batik Textiles 4205 is very close to this fabric in color (4205 is slightly dusty looking compared to IB Purple).

UPDATE 11/27/23: See the first two photos: The latest bolt of this fabric is more “muddy” looking and has mauve and green colors that are more muted. There is brown where the mauve and green meld together. This color should be green but it appears more brown in many areas. Most of this fabric is still mauve with only 25%-45% green areas – depending on the cut. The colors are spread out in large areas across this fabric.

This fabric has a lot of color variation in it and the areas of color are quite large. The brightly colored areas are larger than I would normally find on a multicolored watercolor. The red color in this fabric is not as strong/bright in person as it shows on my screen. Overall, this fabric is lighter and brighter than the first photos shows.
UPDATE 9/17/23: The current bolt of this fabric is featured in the first three photos. It’s not as saturated as previous dye lots and has more of the “melded” colors throughout… that gray-ish-tan color between the main colors.

In person, the fabric background appears very dark and almost black in some areas. It’s also slightly warmer colored and not as cold as the first photo appears. The two colors of turquoise on top are less turquoise in person. They are more of an indigo/periwinkle blue color with a dry appearance. See second photo, 4th from left.

In person, this fabric appears slightly darker than it does in the first photo. The background is a very deep, dark grape purple that’s slightly warm and otherwise near-black in some areas. The poppies on top are in a cool, icy indigo blue color in light and medium shades. The poppies have a slight purple undertone to them and are not quite as turquoise as the first photo looks. The actual fabric looks closest to the first two photos and is not nearly as dark as the third photo shows. This fabric is bright pastel coloration that’s colorful and happy and is simply gorgeous in person, not to mention cute! The watercolor background is a strong pastel rainbow color and the bumble bees are a cobalt blue color. This fabric is almost the same as 4743 but with different colored bees.
