The actual fabric looks closest to the first two photos and has more orange than the third photo shows. This fabric is overall dark with areas of a very dark gray (black), deep teal, turquoise background highlights, and hints of copper orange with mottled browns. Again, most of this fabric is on the darker side with a lot of deep teals and blacks in it – a bit darker than it appears on my screen. The design on top is in teal and contains seaweed, coral reef, fish, seahorses, bubbles, sea shells and angel fish.

***The latest bolt of this fabric has an overall aqua-green-yellow undertone to it and less orange than previous bolts. The fourth photo compares different dye lots of the Egg White fabric. The current bolt is featured on the left in the fourth photo with previous dye lots in the middle and on the right side. The fifth photo is the current bolt of Egg White compared to a solid white batik so you can see the color in the background easier.

Original Description: Egg White has a yellowish-greenish white background with dots containing hints of very light turquoises, greens, yellows, oranges and then a random mix of the similar color shades in smaller portions for the dots. Although the background is mostly white, the coloration of the dots give the fabric a cool green tone. Great mixer or background fabric for a cool colored quilt.
