The main background color is a turquoise blue (not turquoise green) with light blue flying geese on top. The flying geese are not as light/white as the photos shows and they blend in more with the background color, similar to the lower contrast in the third photo.

In person this fabric is lighter and has more highlights like it shows in the first two photos. It’s not a solidly saturated as the third photo shows. This fabric does contain dark areas throughout as seen in the first two photos that are a normal part of this fabric.

UPDATE: The current bolt of fabric appears closest to the first two photos and is light with gray-green with hints of tan-cream watercolor. They white baclground has very very light gray-green undertone. They parts of this fabric that appear white in the background are really more of a light gray-green color. The fifth photo is a comparison of two different previous Seamist dye lots with the oldest fabric on the left and the next newest fabric on the right. The current dye lot (photos 1 & 2) is not as washed-out as previous dye lot (photos 3 & 4). There are some strong areas of darker gray-green throughout the fabric as well as hints of yellow-tan.

The actual fabric looks closest to the first two photos and is not nearly as peridot green as the third photo. This fabric is mostly a sky blue color with hints of light turquoise-green in it. It’s a fluffy/whipped color that appears a little bit lighter than the first two photos. It also has more defined areas of green in it that can be seen in person that does not show up in the photos. It’s a lighter version of IB’s Chameleon and with less green in it.

The actual fabric looks closest to the first two photos and is not as bright or turquoise-green as the third photo. It’s a very beautiful and happy blue, like a clear swimming pool. It’s a little bit darker than Island Batik “Pool” basics blender but a little bit lighter than Hoffman’s “Seasalt.”
NOTE: The current dye lot of this fabric is not as saturated as the photo shows and it has more highlights (lighter turquoise blue) areas that create a little more contrast than the previous dye lot did that was more solidly colored.

NOTE: 3/25/24: I opened a new bolt of this fabric today and it has small black specks throughout the entire bolt. This appears to be made into the fabric and is not removable, but can cut around. The specks are small and don’t show up in the first two photos. Please ask any questions before purchasing – I’m happy to help.
The actual fabric appears closest to the first two photos and has more turquoise green than previous bolts of this same fabric. It’s not as blue/purple as the third photo shows. The fabric still has soft purple, turquoise blue and turquoise green throughout with highlights that are close to white swirled into the colors.
