Side Steps is an instant classic, creating an almost hounds tooth design by adding background fabric to the strips. With just one simple block, the quilt comes together easily and beautifully. Not only does the pattern have a listing for multiple sizes, it also gives you the option to separate your fabrics into lights and darks or into two color families. As you can see by the quilt on the cover image, separating out into equal stacks of lights and darks will give you a subtle ribbon effect through the quilt.
