The most accurate representation of each fabric color in the Monarch collection is in the second photo. 

This fabric has a slightly dry/dusty appearance in person like the first photo shows. This is difficult to detect from the second photo unless the fabric is opened. This fabric is not as dark as the first photo shows.

The first photo is the manufacturers thumbnail image and the second photo is one that I took of a partial collection I have of Island Batik’s Flutter Wings / Romance Garden / Monarch Collections.

There are variations in batik colors because they are hand-dyed. The actual fabric may look slightly different in color and fabrics are usually lighter/brighter in person than what appears on the computer screen. If you would like further color assistance, please contact me directly. I’m happy to help.

Price is per 1-yard quantity. Fabric sold will be a single continuous cut off the bolt. This fabric is 100% cotton. 42″ – 44″ WOF.

    The actual fabric looks closest to the first two photos and is not as saturated as the third photo. The fabric background is mostly a pastel pink, yellow, and blue coloration with hints of purple, but sometimes has the rest of the rainbow colors too. The tropical fish on top are in all 6 of the main rainbow colors in a slightly brighter pastel tone.

    The actual fabric looks closest to the first two photos and is not as green or as saturated/bright as the third photo shows. The blue has a slight purple undertone in small areas and the green also has a blue undertone (hunter green) and it muted and calm/lagoon in appearance.

    ***UPDATED 12/05/22: The latest dye lot of this fabric is featured in the first two photos. Photos 3 and 4 are older dye lots in which the fabric appears much more fuchsia purple, lighter and with less teal in it. The most current fabric looks closest to the first two photos and is much darker with less purple and more teal and gray in it. It’s more jewel toned than previous dye lots and includes hints of lagoon blue dark mint green and warm and cold indigo colors.

    The actual fabric looks lighter, happier and a little bit more turquoise than all three of the photos. It was very difficult to get a decent blue color in the photo of this fabric because the color is very strong. This turquoise blue is a pretty clean colored blue.
