Description
While Diane was driving her favorite backroads of Lancaster County, Pennsylvania on a beautiful April day she saw the black faced shop in a farmers field. This triggered the inspiration for “Amish Neighbors”. She was fortunate to be there on a Monday, wash day, to see the family wash airing on the line.
This painting includes many bits and pieces of Lancaster County as seen and experienced on that beautiful April day. Diane translated her experience to a summer day complete with colorful summer flowers and pansies. The two farms close by to each other made the title “Amish Neighbors” quite appropriate!
