Dew Drop Inn is a fabric representation of stress free family vacations at lakeside resorts in Northern Minnesota. The sound of children laughing. Water lapping the shore. Wind blowing through the aspen trees. Sunlight sparkling across the water. Flowers blooming in roadside ditches. So Many Things!! This 80″ x 80″ project can be broken down into 8 monthly kits. Shop cutting kit available upon request. Multiple techinques can be taught–accurate 1/4″ seams, foundation paper piecing, raw edge fusible applique, careful color placement and accurate border applications. Dizzy With is a slang term from the 1940’s that means to be very much in love with someone, possibly at risk to yourself. Making all these HST to form the rings may make ones’ mind dizzy–but still oh so in love with quilting. Pieced border treatment to complete the outer ring. Super easy raw edge applique is used to make this cheerful quilt. The background block is pieced first then the orange peel shape is stitched onto the block. Depending on what stitch is used to secure shape to block the edges will get soft and fluffy when washed for that sweet vintage feel. Great technique to teach and learn. Orange peel shape can be hand cut with included template or die cut with 4-1/2″ orange peel die. Multiple block layout options.
