Take Five is a fun project that is easily finished in an afternoon. There are no seams to match and the fabric requirements are simple. Every row requires only four 5″ x 5″ squares. You can easily adjust the size by adding or subtracting squares to individualize the runner for your table.
To make the angled cuts, I used the Straight Out of Line ruler. However, a template is provided on page 4.
