It has a strong yet dusty shade of medium purple that leans slightly towards the warm side with hints of mauve pink in the watercolor edges. There are also hints of indigo in the watercolor as well.

This fabric has a saturated warm purple background with a shell design on top in lighter shades of the same purple and blue. The blue is less prominent in person and appears indigo colored (purple undertone) and light/dusty in many areas as if it has gray in it.

The actual fabric looks closest to the first two photos and is lighter, happier and more spring-colored than the third photo shows. It does not have as much purple color in it as the third photo shows either. About 70% of this fabric is the medium dusty mauve/fuchsia color and 25% of it is the medium-dark dusty green color. The remaining 5% is for the light/white areas that are sometimes found in this fabric – see second photo. There are visible water spots made into this fabric as well as mini splatter spots of the same color throughout.

UPDATE 9/17/23: The current bolt of this fabric is featured in the first three photos. It’s not as saturated as previous dye lots and has more of the “melded” colors throughout… that gray-ish-tan color between the main colors.

This fabric has a lot of color variation in it and the areas of color are quite large. The brightly colored areas are larger than I would normally find on a multicolored watercolor. The red color in this fabric is not as strong/bright in person as it shows on my screen. Overall, this fabric is lighter and brighter than the first photos shows.

There are areas that appear beige/yellow (or vintage ivory) within the pink and other areas that are near a muted white color. The pink is mostly soft with a few darker areas in it and is more pink than lavender. In person the fabric appears close in color to the first two photos and is not as purple as the third (manufacturers) photo.
